Job Description:
The Biomedical Equipment Technician II (BMET II) maintains patient care equipment through the effective use of the Medical Equipment Management Plan. he/She performs a variety of routine tasks associated with the installation, maintenance, calibration verification, and repair of a wide scope of patient care with limited guidance from more experienced Clinical Engineering (Biomedical Engineering) professionals. The employee plans and carries out successive steps and resolves problems and deviations in accordance with the equipment manufacturers instructions, the healthcare systems policies, and accepted practices. The Supervisor may periodically review the work for adequacy and conformance with practice and policy.

Minimum or Preferred Qualifications:
AAS - Associate of Applied Science or Equilivent Military Training (Biomedical Equipment Technology or Electronics Technology required. BS - Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering or Technology, Electrical Engineering or Technology preferred. 4 years of experience as a Biomedical Equipment Technician or OEM Field Service Technician required. Preferred licenses/certifications include: ICC/AAMI - CBET, CompTia A+, CompTia Net+, Cisco CCNA or similar IT certifications.

Salary Range:
$27.54-$34.89 per hour Wage will be determined based on factors such as candidate's experience, qualifications, internal equity, and any applicable collective bargaining agreement.
